The young man from Mioveni, suspended from driving for consumption of prohibited substances

On April 27, police officers from the Mioveni Road Squad intervened in an alarming case, spotting a 23-year-old young man from Mioveni who was driving a car in his hometown. Testing with the device provided indicated the possible presence of a psychoactive substance in his system.

It is important to emphasize that this test does not represent legal evidence in the criminal case, therefore, the young man was taken to a medical unit for the collection of biological samples of blood and urine. These samples will be analyzed by specialists to accurately confirm the consumption of prohibited substances.

In accordance with the law, a criminal case was drawn up according to article 336 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, and his right to drive was suspended. Instead of his driver’s license, he was issued with a substitute proof of no right to drive.

This rapid police intervention underlines the seriousness with which cases of driving under the influence of psychoactive substances are treated, with the aim of protecting the safety of all road users.
