Road traffic is blocked on DN15 Ceahlău-Reghin, at the exit from the municipality of Topliţa, due to some electricity cables that have fallen on the road due to the strong wind that blew over the area, informs the Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police, reports Agerpres.

According to the cited source, traffic is stopped in both directions to clear the road surface.

“The Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that on DN 15 Ceahlău-Reghin, at the exit from Topliţa municipality, Harghita county, due to the strong wind, several electricity cables fell on the road surface, so road traffic is stopped in both directions. There are no injured people or damaged vehicles. It is estimated that normal traffic will resume in 60 minutes”, say the Police representatives.

At the same time, the military firefighters intervene on DN 12C, between Gheorgheni and Lacu Roşu, to clear a fallen tree on the roadway.

“As a result of the forecasted meteorological phenomena (strong wind), the military firefighters from the Intervention Guard no. 2 Topliţa and the Gheorgheni Fire Department intervene in the municipality of Topliţa, where an electric cable also broke on DN 12C, between Gheorgheni and Lacu Roşu, to clear a fallen tree on the roadway”, mention the representatives of the County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Harghita .

The meteorologists have announced a yellow code in Harghita county, forecasting that during Friday, between 10:00 and 18:00, there will be wind intensifications of 55-65 km/h, and at high altitudes gusts will exceed 90 km/h .
