CTS Alba, call for blood donation: Donors with groups O negative and A negative are needed

The representatives of the White Blood Transfusion Center launched on Thursday, March 28, 2024, a call for people who can donate blood from groups A negative and B negative.

“This week there were many requests for O negative and A negative groups, both from the County Hospital and from other hospitals in the county: emergencies, patients who needed a larger amount of blood.

PLEASE people who are O negative and A negative to come to us at the center to donate blood. Thank you!”, the representatives of the White Blood Transfusion Center sent, via the social media page.

The schedule of the White Blood Transfusion Center is from Monday to Friday, between 7.30 and 11.00.

To become a blood donor you must meet the following conditions:

– age between 18-60 years
– weight over 50Kg
– regular pulse, 60 -100 beats/minute.
– systolic blood pressure between 100 and 180 mmHg
– not to have undergone surgery in the last 6 months
-women should not be: pregnant, during the period of menstruation, during the menstrual period
– not to have consumed fats or alcoholic beverages at least 48 hours before donation
– not to be under treatment for various ailments: hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, mental illness, liver disease, endocrine disease

Donors must not have or have had the following diseases:

-hepatitis (any type)
– TB
– syphilis
-malaria
– epilepsy and other neurological diseases
– mental illnesses
-brucellosis
-ulcer
-Diabetes
-heart diseases
– skin diseases: psoriasis, vitiligo
– strong myopia over (-) 6 diopters
-cancer
