Two more municipalities in Bihor are preparing their gas networks

The elected officials of Bihor approved, on Friday, the co-financing of two new projects through which gas networks will be built in Chișlaz and Drăgești communes, which will be supported with one million lei each from the County Council budget.

According to the documentation submitted by Chișlaz City Hall, the estimated total value of the investment in this commune will be 63 million lei, including VAT, and in Drăgești the estimated value exceeds 38 million lei, including VAT.

Investments of this kind are financed in part from the budgets of the companies that concession the gas distribution service, from those of the town halls and from the budget of the county administration, based on a multi-annual program through which CJ Bihor allocates one million euros each year, thus supporting 5 or 6 administrative-territorial units.

Projects to establish gas networks in Bihor are currently underway, in the Oradea Metropolitan Area in Nojorid, Oșorhei and Paleu (with European funds), in Sânmartin, Alesd, Asțileu, Șețchea, Tileagd, Ciumeghiu and Cociuba Mare ( with government funds from the Anghel Saligny National Investment Program) and in Ștei, Tinca, Sânnicolau Român, Lunca, Cefa and Abram (with funds provided by companies and support from CJ Bihor).

“We want to develop this project that will contribute to increasing the standard of living of the people of Bihoren and to the economic development of the county. Municipalities and cities that have gas networks are becoming more attractive to investors. Given that wood is more and more difficult to procure and it is unnatural to cut down forests, I am convinced that the best solution at our disposal is the natural gas network”, stated the vice-president of the CJ Bihor Mircea Mălan, who led the meeting the chosen ones.
