The first county semifinal of the business plan competition “Marathon for entrepreneurial education”, addressed to high school students, took place in Galati. At the competition organized by the National Confederation for Female Entrepreneurship (CONAF) – Galați Branch, in partnership with the Galati County School Inspectorate and “Danubius” University, the best business plans presented by the eight registered teams, made up of 37 high school students, were awarded Galatians.

The grand prize of the county semifinal was won by the team of the “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School (coordinator, professor Bogdan George Silion), with the “PetIT” project, which revolutionizes the care of pets, by providing medical services, specialized consulting and a community for the exchange of experience, all instantly accessible, 24/7.

In second place the “TeenTalk Hub” project was ranked, an online platform created by the students of the “Costache Negri” National College (coordinator, Prof. Virgil Aciobăniței) to help teenagers suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, etc.

Third place returned to the “Innovation For Future” project, a platform that facilitates the connection of the community to local life, through the digitization of businesses and the promotion of events and services, carried out by the team of the “Vasile Alecsandri” National College (coordinator, Prof. Sorin Langu). The 1st place team received a prize worth 3,000 lei, the 2nd place team was awarded with 2,000 lei, and the 3rd place team was rewarded with 1,000 lei.

At this second edition of the “Marathon for entrepreneurial education”, 12,000 students from over 130 high schools, from 20 counties of the country, participated in the entrepreneurial education classes. Semifinals of the competition will be held this year in 20 counties, and the final will be held in Bucharest in May. The three award-winning teams from Galaţi qualified for the finals in Bucharest.
