Cip Paraschiv (AUR) loved Poli so much that he executed the club for 487,000 euros. Marauders of a team relegated three times in 5 years

--

Ciprian Paraschiv has been living off the money from Poli Iasi for 4 years. He collected half a million euros (487,000 euros, gross amount) and relegated the team two years in a row, in 2020 and 2021. He was the only club president in Romania with an indefinite contract, according to the Labor Code, without any performance clause.
Now he is very skilled in politics, being one of the prominent members of AUR in Iasi. He loved Poli Iasi so much that he took all his money.

Two relegations one after the other

Ciprian Paraschiv was the president of the club between February 2020 and June 2021. In 2020 he was relegated, the team collecting only 4 points in return! We saved ourselves because the League decided to go from the 14-team system to the 16-team system. No one was relegated that year, although Poli, led by Paraschiv, had finished penultimate. It was then speculated that the heads of Romanian football wanted to save Dinamo, which had also finished in the relegation place.
I relegated again, this time irrevocably, next year. Also with Ciprian Paraschiv as president. Mayor Mihai Chirica had given him a contract of 6,500 euros net and he didn’t know how to get rid of it. He had brought it and ended up blaming it in the City Council meetings, calling it “a catastrophe”.
The two companions led the football club hand in hand into the abyss. Mihai Chirica gave Cip Paraschiv an employment contract for an indefinite period, an extremely dubious error in the world of football. The club had a total expense with Paraschiv’s salary of 53,000 lei/month, gross amount. Over 10,000 euros.

After taking hundreds of thousands of euros from Poli, Cip Paraschiv could comfortably write love letters to the football team. He only did it after he cashed in his money

They gave him a lifetime contract

On the basis of the legally disastrous contract, Ciprian Paraschiv easily won the lawsuit against the football club, demanding financial compensation and reinstatement in the position he had held, although in sports counter-performance is not evaluated and moral reparations are not made in civil courts.
Mihai Chirica made a contract without any termination clause, and Paraschiv did not forgive the imprudence at all, although he had buried the club and very vocally claimed that he loves this team, having his destiny tied to Iași football.
He executed Poli to the last lion. He obtained compensation of 300,000 euros in court, the gross amount representing outstanding salaries, recalculated to the value of inflation, interest and compensation, plus reinstatement to the position of president at Poli Iași.

Paraschiv was paid 6,500 euros net/month. He brought Pancu as a coach, but the experiment didn’t work. The team was relegated

He demanded all the money from a club in the pit

The case in Iași is unprecedented in Romanian football: normally, in the case of a resounding failure, two relegations, dismissal follows and no one asks for money. Ciprian Paraschiv instead had 45 days’ notice, according to the Labor Code, as he was dismissed in May and remained in the chair until the end of June.
The trial was held in Bucharest because Ciprian Paraschiv wanted to make sure that there was no influence at the local level and he took his home address in the Capital.
He immediately came to demand 300,000 euros from Poli Iasi, including taxes. The team was in League 2 and had a different management. “The budget could not support such an expense, all the available amounts were calculated for the current operation of the club: salaries, travel”, said one of the club officials, who wished to remain anonymous.

“I was able for Poli, I will always be able to!”, wrote Ciprian Paraschiv on FB, on March 11, 2023, immediately after receiving the first installment of 130,000 euros. Otherwise he wouldn’t have been so happy!

He had been laid off through restructuring

The provision of Ciprian Paraschiv had been made on the basis of an administrative restructuring report. The club had reached 4 months of non-payment of salaries and the financial situation was hopeless. There were four layoffs due to the restructuring plan: president Paraschiv, with a net salary of 6,500 euros, Toni Heleșeanu, sports director, Lucian Lucescu, PR coordinator, and Sergiu Melinte, marketing officer. The latter accumulated several positions in the club, among the duties being the coordination of marketing actions, although he only had a vocational school as a graduation diploma.
Heleșteanu and Lucescu gave up their financial claims, reaching amicable agreements with Poli Iași. Paraschiv and Melinte instead went all the way, asking for hundreds of thousands of euros in compensation. Sergiu Melinte received 70,000 euros including state taxes, and Paraschiv almost half a million euros.

Ciprian Paraschiv discovered his valence as a politician, enrolling at AUR and having very high personal ambitions. The money from Poli allows him to devote himself to politics. He solved with Poli, he will also take care of Iași

He collected 130,000 euros per seat

The agreement between Paraschiv and Poli Iasi was initialed in extremely harsh terms for the club, which was struggling to promote and risked losing its license if it did not settle the dispute with the former president. Ciprian Paraschiv was proposed to be reinstated for a period of 5 months, during which he received his full salary, although he was a decorative presence on the team.
The club had no money and borrowed 100,000 euros from an individual to pay Ciprian Paraschiv. The one who brought money from home was Cornel Șfaiţer, the current president of the Board of Directors from Poli Iasi. It was paid in three installments: 100,000 euros and another 30,000 euros in compensation to quit the contract, plus two other smaller installments in July and December 2023. In total, 197,000 euros net went to Ciprian Paraschiv.

“In addition, also so that Poli would not suffer, I gave up the individual employment contract, which had an indefinite period.”
Ciprian Paraschiv explained in March 2023, immediately after winning the case with Poli Iași, that he had given up his lifetime service at the club, an anomaly in the world of football, where contracts are for short periods, determined strictly by performance

“I love you forever!” but I take your money without blinking

Sources in the club say that the former manager was extremely inflexible. He was proposed to cut his compensation in half, cut his salary by 50%, pay compensation in monthly installments for several years. He did not agree to any proposal, running the club to the last leu, the only concession being the collection of a difference in money in two subsequent installments. “All the club’s expenses with Ciprian Paraschiv were 487,000 euros, including all state taxes,” say Poli Iași officials.
For him it was like a rematch. He came and said he wanted to be reinstated, he didn’t care that he had been relegated twice in a row.
Ciprian Paraschiv publicly proclaimed his love for the football club in numerous posts on his Facebook account.
The president leaves the scene, but my soul remains here! I love you, Poli!”he wrote exactly at the moment he clapped his hands to collect half a million euros.
Instead, he wrote in public posts that he gave up advantages, money, positions. Moreover, he had made a commitment to organize a Supporters’ Club to finance the football team, but he did nothing. He stayed quietly at home on the compensation money.
Ciprian Paraschiv is a sports professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and an active AUR member at the local level, with political ambitions.

“Today I keep my head up, with arguments. I also made mistakes, I trusted too much in certain people, but my conscience is clear! I don’t have the slightest regret that I gave up advantages, positions, money for the most beautiful club in the world. I served Poli with the same devotion that I had as a player.”
Ciprian Paraschiv, open letter from August 1, 2023, when he had collected over 150,000 euros from Poli Iasi

Ambrosie was getting 4,000 euros/month even though he was no longer doing anything. The town hall paid 900,000 euros to the club in the last budget year. They were given money and a free hand. Poli Iași has been in a coma for at least two years, but public money is being used mercilessly. Last year we were not relegated because there was a pandemic. The statistics show that Iasi is the weakest team in League 1 in the last 20 years: points, goals conceded, shots, goals conceded. D…
