M6 Otopeni | Exhibition stations and Baneasa Airport are starting to take shape. The workers poured the “molded walls”

The highway to the airport is taking shape. The workers have work from pouring molded walls, to foundations and electrical installations. These “molded walls” are the limits in which the future stations will be excavated. For now, these works are being done at the Exhibition and Baneasa Airport.

Practically, the pouring of these walls is the stage preceding the excavations with TBMs (Tunnel Boring Machines) – the machines that will dig the underground tunnels, explain those from Metrorex. Moreover, the company’s representatives made a video that shows exactly the execution process of the first segments of molded walls.

Metrorex also published the status of the works on the M6:

• At the main site organization, near Băneasa Airport, foundation concreting works, filling and installation of site containers and works for the electrical installation were carried out;
• At the future Tokyo station, excavations, installation of protection tubes and tightness tests were carried out;
• At the interstation Tokyo – Băneasa Airport, utility surveys continue;
• At the future Băneasa Station, survey excavations, excavations, excavations for the guide beam, execution and concreting of the guide beam were carried out;
• At the Piața Montreal – Băneasa station, excavations were carried out for utility surveys;
• At the future Montreal Square station, work was carried out on guide beams and concrete laboratory samples;
• At the future Pajura station, excavations, reinforcements, concreting of the guide beams from various axes were carried out and more than 23 linear meters of formwork for the guide beams were installed;
• Surveys for utility networks continued at the future 1 Mai – Pajura interstation;
