- Every year, on April 3, we celebrate the Day of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
To mark the 174th anniversary of the establishment of the Romanian Gendarmerie, the Arges gendarmes will carry out a series of activities dedicated to the citizens, in several localities in the county.
They will take place in Mioveni, Curtea de Argeș, Pitesti and Câmpulung, as follows:
• Saturday, March 30, between 10.00 and 14.00, at Mioveni (Civic Center) and Curtea de Argeș (Plateou Biserica Domnească);
• Sunday, March 31, between 12:00 and 16:00, in Pitesti (Trivale Park-Grotă area) and Câmpulung (Town Hall Square).
Within them, those present can see the techniques used in different missions, the materials specific to the mountain gendarmes, some of the newest vehicles in the inspectorate’s equipment, but also the dogs used by the gendarmes in specific missions.
Also, those who wish to pursue a military career can find out more details.
And because we want safety for the citizens, also in these workshops we will have colleagues specialized in preventing and combating antisocial acts, from whom those interested can learn more about the skills of the gendarmes, their place and role in society.
There will also be our four-legged partners, who will show those present the skills acquired during the training courses.
