March 29 – April 3: High school military sports Olympiad in Alba Iulia. The first stage takes place at the National Military College “Mihai Viteazul” Alba Iulia

Between March 29 and April 3, the “Mihai Viteazul” National Military College in Alba Iulia will organize the first stage of the high school military sports Olympics. Five colleagues from the country will participate in mini-football, chess, orienteering, shooting or running competitions in varied terrain.

The National Military College “Mihai Viteazul” Alba Iulia is hosting between March 29 and April 3, 2024 the high school military sport Olympics – stage I. The competition, also known as the Spartachiada, is organized and managed by the Military Physical Education Service within the General Staff of Defense, based on the sports calendar for 2024, and will line up approximately 180 students from the five national military colleges in the country, along with military coaches and instructors.

• National Military College “Mihai Viteazul” Alba Iulia;
• National Military College “Dimitrie Cantemir” Breaza;
• National Military College “Ștefan cel Mare” Campulung Moldovenesc;
• “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” National Military College Constanța;
• National Military College “Tudor Vladimirescu” Craiova.

During the competition, competitions will be held in the sports disciplines of orienteering, chess and mini-football, and as applied-military tests, shooting and triathlon. After the trials, the general ranking for the groups will be drawn up by adding up the points obtained in each trial/game from stage I and stage II.

The High School Military Sports Olympiad will be held in several locations, as follows:
• orientation – Pianu de Sus area
• mini-football – Sports Hall of the University “1 Decembrie 1918” Alba Iulia
• chess – National Military College “Mihai Viteazul”
• shooting and triathlon – “Mihai Viteazul” National Military College
• running in varied terrain (trial within the triathlon) – Ditches of the Alba Carolina Citadel.

The opening ceremony of the competition will take place on Saturday, March 30, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the “Mihai Viteazul” National Military College in Alba Iulia.
