Those who want to explore the place must definitely get to Piata Unirii, which covers a fairly large area. It is the oldest square in the city and is built in baroque style. It is also surrounded by historic, colorful buildings, with a mineral water fountain in the middle.

This fountain is a symbol of the city dating back to the 18th century. Also in the center is the Holy Trinity Monument. The Roman-Catholic Cathedral, the Palace of the Orthodox Bishopric, the Baroque Palace, the Canons’ Houses and the Bruke House should not be overlooked.

Another historical place in Timisoara is Piața Libertății. In addition, foreign tourists can admire the Old Town Hall Square and the building erected in the first half of the 18th century in an eclectic style. The Military Casino and the Rose Park are not to be missed.

A huge amphitheater is located in the Rose Park, where many outdoor events take place. From June to September, the place hosts festivals where famous artists are invited. If you get here you must definitely continue the walk along the Bega River.
