The energy efficiency works of the Covasna City Hospital could start at the end of this year

Energy rehabilitation of the building of the City Hospital in Covasna, under the administration of the Cardiology Hospital “Dr. Benedek Geza”, will start at the end of this year or, at the latest, at the beginning of next year, the work to be carried out through a non-refundable funding of over 1.4 million euros, won through the PNRR. The announcement was made by the medical director of the hospital, Dr. Nicolae Enea, who is also a member of the Covasna Local Council.

“The works for the City Hospital in Gábor Áron street no. 6 are expected to be started at the end of this year, the beginning of 2025 at the latest, the investment being won by the Ministry of Health, Minister Dr. Alexandru Rafila, in partnership with the Cardiovascular Recovery Hospital Dr. Benedek Geza, on PNRR, component 5, Valul Renovării. I was personally involved in winning this project. I hope that its implementation will be carried out in the best conditions, without financial corrections and with strict compliance with the legal regulations”, said Dr. Nicolae Enea.

The works include, among other things, the cladding of the building, the replacement of the roof and the installation of photovoltaic panels, and the local authorities say that in addition to the urban impact it will have, the investment will create better conditions for patients and will, in the future, bring important savings to energy bills.

The value of the financing amounts to 1,430,616 euros (7,042,494 lei).
