Oradea City Hall and Bihor County Council will conclude a twinning agreement with Stăuceni commune in Chisinau.
“As you know, Oradea City Hall concluded a twinning agreement with Băcioi commune, in the municipality of Chisinau, in 2020, and, together with the Bihor County Council, came to support the community there by establishing a park in the center of the commune. For the realization of this investment, 100,000 euros were granted by the Oradea City Hall, and the difference of 100,000 euros was provided by the County Council, after completing the necessary stages”, said Mayor Florin Birta.
Since those from Moldova benefit from certain grants from the Moldovan government if they come with external financing in making the investments, the two Bihor administrations considered that it would be a sign of respect for the community there if Bihor came to their aid. The financial aid that was intended for the realization of the project “Construction and arrangement of the park with summer theater and pool in Independêsi str., Băcioi commune” was provided as follows: 50% from the budget of the Băcioi City Hall – approximately 398,735 euros, 25% from the budget of the Oradea City Hall and of the Bihor County Council – approximately 199,367 euros and 25% from the Government of the Republic of Moldova – approximately 199,367 euros. The inauguration of the park took place a year ago, on March 28.
Starting from the success of this partnership, the Oradea City Hall and the County Council will make a new twinning, in the present case with the Stăuceni commune in the municipality of Chisinau, so that during the next mandate the three administrations will make a similar investment in this commune as well.
The Oradea City Hall and the County Council have gone through all the legal steps, they have the relevant ministries’ approvals, necessary to conclude the twinning agreement with the Stăuceni commune.
