The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a Yellow Code warning regarding wind intensifications, valid from Thursday, from 8:00 p.m., until Friday, at 10:00 a.m.
Wind code yellow alert in half of the country
Thus, during the night from Thursday to Friday, in Crişana, Maramureş, the north-west of Moldova and locally in Transylvania, the wind will show intensification with speeds in general of 55…65 km/h, and in the high area of the Apuseni Mountains and In the Eastern Carpathians, gusts will exceed 90…100 km/h.
The counties of Satu Mare, Maramureş, Bistrita-Năsăud, Cluj, Sălaj, Bihor, Arad, Suceava and, partially, Neamţ, Bacău, Vrancea, Covasna, Harghita, Mureş, Alba, Hunedoara are targeted, writes news.ro.
At the same time, the meteorologists issued an information valid from Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until Friday, at 9:00 p.m.
“During the mentioned interval, there will be temporary wind intensifications in most of the country, with speeds in general of 45…55 km/h, and in the mountains the gusts will exceed 60…70 km/h. In the northern half of the country, during Thursday (March 28) and during the night from Thursday to Friday (March 28/29), the instability will be temporarily accentuated and there will be showers, in limited areas accompanied by electrical discharges, and especially in the mountain area, water quantities of 15…20 l/m2 will accumulate, favoring the melting of the snow layer”the ANM sent.
Another Yellow Code warning regarding wind intensification is valid on Thursday, between 10:00 and 20:00.
“The wind will intensify in Dobrogea, southeastern Moldova, eastern Muntenia, Crisana, locally in Transylvania and Maramureş, in the Apuseni Mountains and in the Eastern Carpathians, where there will be speeds in general of 55…65 km/h, and at high altitude gusts will exceed 90 km/h”the meteorologists showed.
This Yellow Code covers the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Covasna, Galati, Brăila, Constanţa, Tulcea and some areas in the counties of Călăraşi, Ialomiţa, Vrancea, Bacău, Neamţ, Suceava, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Mureş, Harghita, Maramureş, Cluj, Alba and Hunedoara.
In the Bucharest area, from Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to Friday, at 8:00 a.m., the weather will warm up. The sky will be temporarily cloudy until the afternoon hours and light rains of short duration will be possible, then it will clear. The wind will blow moderately, with intensifications throughout the day (speeds in general of 40…50 km/h). The maximum temperature will be 20…22 degrees, and the minimum will be 6…8 degrees.
From Friday morning until 21:00, the weather will continue to warm. The sky will be variable and the wind will blow generally moderately. The maximum temperature will be 23…24 degrees.
