The work on the University Hospital of UMFST will probably start in the summer of this year

This is what the rector of UMFST Târgu Mureş, Leonard Azamfirei, claims, who today presented his activity report for the year 2023.
He said that the University Hospital is the most complicated project of the University and that they are currently working on the design part.
The works will most likely start in August, says the rector of UMFST, Leonard Azamfirei:
The most important thing is that we succeeded in contracting the University Hospital. It was the most complicated project I’ve had at the University level, at least since I’ve been rector. It ended well, without any kind of dispute. At this moment the contract is awarded, it is in design. The design itself is complex, with many new things emerging. We hope to finish the design in the summer and see the machines working in August. Of course with a margin of tolerance, because there are aspects that do not belong only to us.”
According to the rector, the university obtained a total non-refundable funding of 11.75 million euros from the PNRR for the outpatient clinic of the future university hospital and for part of the equipment needed for the operating rooms, the laboratory and the intensive care unit.
