The center of Corunca commune modernized with 3.5 million lei, funds from the local budget – Mures News, Targu Mures News

The central area of ​​Corunca is in an extensive modernization process. The works are financed from own funds, from the local budget of the commune. The value of the investment amounts to approximately 3.5 million lei. The mayor of the municipality, Takács Szabolcs István, gave us details about this investment, as well as about the other projects of the Corunca City Hall.

“In the central area, we have covered the ditches, one side, and we want to go all the way up opposite the Orthodox Parish and up to the front of the school. In addition, we will arrange parking lots and green areas. We want the whole area to be arranged very nicely. The park in front of the City Hall, which at the moment is already somewhat dismantled, will be redeveloped with rustic cubic granite stone. We will bring the aerial networks from the central area underground. There should be no more poles, only those for lighting,” said Takács Szabolcs István, the mayor of the Corunca commune.

Modern public lighting and Wi-Fi

The public street lighting in Corunca commune was modernized through a project financed by the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM). “We changed all the light bulbs, all the lighting fixtures, and efficient LED lamps were installed,” said the mayor of Takács Szabolcs István.

In Corunca, residents and visitors benefit from free Wi-Fi in public areas. Routers were installed both in Corunca and in the village of Bozeni. “Wireless internet access is available in the central area, at the school, at the City Hall, in the area of ​​the Vațman and Substejariș guesthouses, for example. The project was not a very big one, the value being approximately 600,000 lei”, explained the mayor of Corunca.

Large energy efficiency projects of the school and the cultural center

Modernization and energy efficiency works are to be carried out at the “Tholdalagi Mihály” Secondary School in Corunca, through an AFM project. “Now we are in the stage of preparing the technical project. After that comes the auction. It would have been ideal for the works to be done in the summer, during the holidays, because they are quite large works. Underfloor heating will be installed, with heat pumps, thermal insulation, a new heating plant, it will be an extensive project,” Takács Szabolcs István told us. The value of the project is approximately 7.6 million lei.

“For the Secondary School in Corunca, through PNRR, we also won funding for a project that provides for the purchase of equipment and supplies for laboratories, smart boards, etc. The value of the project is 800,000 lei,” added the mayor.

For the Cultural Home, funds were accessed through PNRR, for a similar project, to modernize and increase the energy efficiency of the building. The value of the investment will amount to approximately 3.4 million lei.

In addition, through a PNDR – LEADER project, photovoltaic panels will be installed for the Corunca City Hall building. “For this project, in 2-3 months, we are already starting work”, said the mayor.

Electric car charging station

“We’re going to make a charging station for electric cars down by the E60. It’s a project also won through AFM. The station will be located opposite the compressor station, close to the car wash,” said Takács Szabolcs István. The station will have two charging points.

The water network in the Substejaris area

“We have another project won through the “Anghel Saligny” Program, for the water and sewerage network in the Substejaris area. The value of the project is 6,780,000 lei. For this investment, in no more than 3-4 weeks, work must begin. The tender is completed, now we are in the phase where we communicate the winner and if there are no appeals, we will start the work”, added the mayor.

Road infrastructure modernization project

The City Hall of the Corunca Municipality submitted, as part of an appeal launched by AFIR, a project worth 1 million euros for the modernization of the road infrastructure. “I got a good score, very good. AFIR representatives from Alba Iulia have already been in the field and we are waiting to receive the answer”, said the mayor.

New project for water and sewage

Another project for which Corunca City Hall intends to obtain government funds provides for the expansion of the water and sewerage network for Tineretului, Toamnei, Grădinilor, Primaverii and Nouă streets. The value of the investment amounts to 4.3 million lei.

Project for a gym

Corunca City Hall is still waiting for an answer regarding the granting of funding for the construction of a sports hall. “The hall will have 180 seats. We have also purchased the land, sent the land documents and we are waiting to see what response we receive”, said Takács Szabolcs István.

For 2 years, in the commune, in Bozeni, a field for mini-football was built. The project was financed by AFIR (Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments).

“Other than that, we have other smaller works. At the moment, work is being done on Castelului street to widen the road and modernize the street with concrete ditches and covered gutters. We still have work to do in the Vațman area, also to restore ditches with covered gutters”, added the mayor of the Corunca commune.
