The penultimate stage of this edition of the League 2 play-out, 2023-2024, this time has five matches scheduled for Saturday and one for Sunday, each time from 11:00.
The Progresul Spartac – Chindia Târgoviște match, from Group B, takes place a day later than the rest, because the ground where the match is played, the FRF base from Buftea, is not available on Saturday, because that is when the “Tournament of the 4 Nations” ends organized by the federation and at this location.
Otherwise, in the 5th stage of the League 2 play-out, on Saturday, Dumbrăvița, Dej and Reșita will play in Group A, and CSM Alexandria will stay, while in Group B they will play in Bucharest and Târgu Jiu, and Concordia Chiajna will stay.

If the situation in Group B is concluded, Progresul Spartac and CS Tunari being mathematically relegated, and CSM Slatina being the last saved, two unknowns remain in Group A even before this stage. Those of the teams CSC Dumbrăvița and Unirea Dej, separated by six points, in favor of the Timișoara, given that each can put a maximum of nine points in the ranking. In Group B, CSM Alexandria is mathematically relegated.
A line could also be drawn in Group A, following Saturday’s games, with CSC Dumbrăvița needing a win against Metaloglobus, or Unirea Dej losing its match with CFC Argeș.
