The Be Teen Association from Târgu Jiu ran the project Future entrepreneur in rural tourism, an initiative designed to bring about significant change in the community.
Starting from April 2023 and continuing until March 2024, young people from rural areas in Gorj County had the opportunity to get involved in a series of activities, aimed at guiding and initiating them in what entrepreneurship means in the field of rural tourism.
The main goal of this project is to create opportunities for young people aged between 18 and 30 from rural areas to learn and develop their entrepreneurial skills in the field of rural tourism.
Among the activities carried out within the project were: social economy and project writing workshops, film evenings, documentaries on available funding opportunities, information sessions, development of a brochure on entrepreneurship in rural tourism.
Partners in the project: Baia de Fier Town Hall, Baia de Fier Technological High School, AJOFM Gorj.
The efforts of the implementation team also continue through the YOUth GUIDE RURAL project, co-financed by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program, in which young people from rural areas will be informed about the job of a local tourist guide.
“Through the Future Entrepreneur in Rural Tourism project, we wanted to offer young people from rural areas, especially those from Baia de Fier, the opportunity to discover their entrepreneurial potential and contribute to the sustainable development of their community”, transmit the representatives of the Be Teen Association.
