Apple and OpenAI are once again negotiating a deal to bring a chatbot based on the manufacturer’s ChatGPT technology to the iPhone.

It is not clear why the negotiations between the two sides stopped at some point, what is certain is, according to Bloomberg, that Apple and OpenAI have resumed discussions on the subject.
Apple is also in similar negotiations with Google, from which it could take the technology behind Gemini to make a chatbot for the iPhone.

In parallel, Apple is also developing its own artificial intelligence systems, about which it has not provided details so far, but will probably do so during the WWDC event in the summer.
The iPhone maker wants to introduce the first wave of AI features in the fall when it releases iOS 18 and other new versions of its operating systems.
It is unclear what form these will take, but there is talk of their implementation in several of the company’s apps and services, such as iMessage and Apple Music.
