In June it seems OPPO will launch the Reno12 series of phones. I have learned a few more details over time, so it seems that the terminals are really being prepared. This series has many competitors to face. I am talking about models from series such as vivo S19, Honor 200, Huawei Nova 13, Galaxy A from Samsung. The tipster who provided information is Digital Chat Station. He says that the Reno12 will get a new Dimensity 8300 processor under the hood, although in the prototype variant it was tested with the Dimensity 8200, the same chipset used in the case of the predecessor. We learn that the terminal would receive up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage in the top configuration, and its 5000 mAh battery will charge at 80W per wire.
The Reno12 will run Android 14 alongside the ColorOS 14 interface, and on the back we should find a 50 MP camera with an F/1.8 aperture. I’d say it’s a Sony sensor with OIS, possibly a top model like IMX890. In addition to this sensor, the terminal will bring a 50 MP telephoto camera with F/2.0 aperture that offers 2X optical zoom, but also an 8 MP ultrawide camera.
As for the design of the phone, it looks like we will be getting a lightweight body. It has well finished glass on the back. The display will be subtly curved, in 2.5D mode, and it will bring 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate. The device would also receive IP65 certification for water and dust resistance. I would remind you that in Europe OPPO Reno terminals reach once every two generations in general. Under the series we should also have a Pro model, and both terminals could go global this year.
