Stinging elimination for CSM Bucharest from the Champions League. “Tigreaicele” misses the Final 4 tournament again

The champion CSM Bucharest was also defeated on Saturday, away, by the Metz Handball team, score 29-23 (15-14), in the return leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League. CSM misses qualifying for the Final Four Tournament, where they last played in 2018.

Previously, the Romanian champion finished in 4th place in group A, missing the direct qualification in the quarters, following the results: 28-24 and 25-29 with Odense, 24-26 and 31-28 with SG BBM Bietigheim, 23-27 and 26 -24 with Gyor, 41-26 and 35-26 with IK Savehof, 28-30 and 21-24 with Brest, 29-24 and 44-26 with Buducnost, 29-29 and 30-23 with DVSC Debrecen.

In the quarter-finals, the matches between FTC Budapesta – Team Esbjerg (25-26 in the round), Vipers – Gyor (23-30) and SG BBM Bietigheim – Odense (30-26) are also played.

The trophy holder is Vipers Kristiansand.
