The Politehnica University of Timișoara has started the admission campaign for the new educational year 2024/2025.
In this context, a series of activities are underway: the UPT caravan presents the educational offer in high schools in the western half of the country; free meditations in mathematics, informatics, chemistry, drawing, help students both for the baccalaureate exam and for college admission; the contests within the project “Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara, a step towards your future!” they can secure a place without taking the entrance exam; the doors of the 10 faculties are always open for high school students; Currently, the preparations for the participation in the Educational Fair “Timișoara – ATU for your education” are in the final phase.
There are many offers for admission, but those who choose the Timișoara Polytechnic do so for the quality of the educational act, because those who put in the effort can win the biggest scholarships, for the chance to practice at the most famous companies, because they have at their disposal the most modern library in the country, the largest sports base, places in dormitories for all applicants, and most importantly, because, upon graduation, 96% of them find a well-paid job, in the specialization they they wanted it and followed it. In fact, 70% of UPT students are not from Timisoara, but stay here after graduation. They stay because the city, the most industrialized in the country and with the greatest potential for future development, offers them the prospect of a future career. Moreover, on a global, national, regional and local level, there is an acute need for engineers, not only in IT, but in all fields, along with adjacent specializations, such as management, architecture or communication.
The high employability rate of graduates is also related to the relationship developed by the Politehnica University of Timișoara with the large companies in the region, most of which are also represented in the UPT Steering Committee, which ensures very good opportunities for practice, laboratories equipped to the highest standards, support in carrying out projects and later, after graduation, a job according to the specialization.
In terms of facilities, the Politehnica University of Timișoara has an enviable material base, which includes modernized dormitories, four sports facilities (with swimming pools, tennis courts, football, basketball, handball, strength rooms, etc., all provided free of charge available to students), 4 catering units, laboratories, amphitheatres, lecture and seminar rooms, workshops, mostly modernized, own television, a virtual campus, cultural center, museum, etc.
As far as student life is concerned, the leagues present in each faculty are particularly active and carry out countless projects and activities in all areas of interest, and through the Erasmus+ international programs students can benefit from scholarships or internships in universities all over the world.
Last but not least, the Politehnica University of Timișoara supports entrepreneurship. UPT has developed a number of projects through which students benefited from funding for their business ideas. The concern of the Polytechnic University to attract new funding is permanent because students from technical fields can come up with ideas that bring value to the market, but they need an impetus to take the first steps in entrepreneurship.
