The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, announces that he has signed the order by which the National Road Investment Company (CNIR SA) takes over a series of road infrastructure projects from CNAIR SA (National Road Infrastructure Administration Company).
It is about the Târgu Mureș-Târgu Neamț Highway (Miercurea Nirajului – Leghin section), Târgu Neamț Highway – Iasi – Ungheni, Bacău – Brașov Highway, Ploiesti – Brașov Highway, Bacău – Piatra Neamț Express Road, Focșani – Brăila Express Road and Express Road Subsidiaries – Târgu Jiu.
Grindeanu specifies that the transfer of these projects was possible after the operationalization of CNIR and the appointment of a General Director and the Economic-Financial Director.
The objectives will be taken over based on a protocol concluded between the two companies.
Who runs the CNIR
This week Gabriel Budescu he was appointed with a 3-year mandate as general director of CNIR, the company that must take over the highways, according to PNRR. The engineer Gabriel Budescu comes to the management of the Company from the position of Deputy General Technical Director of the Road Company (CNIAR). The operationalization of the CNIR, a project started since the Dacian Cioloș Government (2015) is a milestone in the PNRR. Gabriel Budescu, specialized engineer Railways Roads and Bridges, heads the Technical Department and is considered an experienced road engineer.
