Officials from the Neamț Territorial Labor Inspectorate carried out a control action at several employers, and following the discovered violations, they applied pecuniary sanctions and ordered measures to remedy the deficiencies. The checks took place between March 18 and 22 and targeted companies in the field of wood trade, construction materials and sanitary equipment, as well as those that deal with the manufacture of other products from non-metallic minerals.
“20 economic agents were checked, and for violating the legislation in the fields of labor relations and occupational safety and health, 23 contraventional sanctions were applied, of which 17 fines amounting to 39,500 lei and 6 warnings. 42 measures were ordered to remedy the non-conformities found”according to ITM Neamț.
Among the shortcomings found by the inspectors is the non-compliance with the obligation to keep the actual record of the working hours performed daily by each employee, specifying the start and end times of the work schedule, in other cases the personnel files were incomplete, or the time was not respected of work of 8 hours a day, for 5 days, with two rest days. Some did not issue seniority certificates and a Revisal extract for those who were ceasing their activity, in other cases proper and sufficient training in occupational safety and health was not provided. At other companies, the dangerous areas or the activity of providing first aid were not signaled.
The objective of the action was to identify the companies in the mentioned field and to check how they comply with the legal provisions in force, as well as to eliminate the non-conformities found by ordering mandatory measures. (GS)
