A woman from Alba Iulia who caused a road accident was identified by the police after she left the scene. Police representatives stated that the woman was driving a car and during a reverse maneuver, she hit an 8-year-old girl who was crossing the street.
The road accident happened on Toporașilor Street in Alba Iulia, Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
The case was reported by the minor’s father, and the incident was made public by representatives of IPJ Alba, in the press bulletin of March 28.
According to IPJ Alba, on March 27, 2024, at around 12:50 p.m., the traffic police in Alba Iulia were alerted by a 34-year-old man from the town of Feneș, Alba county, regarding the fact that his daughter was the victim of a road accident, and the car driver allegedly left the scene of the accident.
Where the accident happened
From the investigations carried out by the police, it turned out that a 35-year-old woman from Alba Iulia, while driving a car, on Toporașilor Street in the municipality, allegedly performed a reverse maneuver and surprised and injured a minor , aged 8, from the town of Feneș, Alba county, who would have been engaged in the legal crossing of the street.
The girl was slightly injured
As a result of the accident, the minor suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by her parents for medical care.
The driver was later identified by the police. She was tested with the breathalyzer, which indicated that she was not under the influence of alcohol.
The investigations are continued, in terms of the commission of the crimes of culpable bodily harm and leaving the scene of the accident.
