The television personality Mircea Radu, who returned to the small screens with the show “We, the Romanians”, on Metropola TV, visited Oradea the other day, and on Wednesday he published a laudatory message to the city and its people on his Facebook page.

“In Oradea, people passing by on the street gave me the strange feeling that they knew what they were doing. That they know where they are going, what they are heading for and what awaits them there. No one seems to be in a hurry, but neither is they in a hurry. For them, time flows the same way, yesterday, today and tomorrow”, Mircea Radu began.

He then pointed out that, in the city on Crișul Repede, it is about “refinement, not chic”. “I asked an old friend, from Oradea, where I could eat. At the Corsarul, he told me. I also asked Mihaela Tatu – the same. Or at Rosecaș, he added. I’ve been to both – the waiters smile, suggest, know by heart. I had the best bread – if I hadn’t ordered anything else before, I probably would have settled for just dipping it in olive oil, putting salt on it and slicing a tomato. Five-star premises with attention to detail. Refinement, not chic. Music, not hits”, wrote the former presenter of news and the show “Din dragoste”.

He concluded that he had visited “a jewel”: “Oradea has decency and purpose. It is clean and there is no shrillness of any kind. Oradea is a gem. More precisely, it is that ring with a precious stone worn by kings over the glove.”

Mircea Radu filmed in the city the other day for his new show. Doctor Carmen Pantiș, coordinator of the transplant program in Bihor, shared a photo with the two, saying she gave him an interview, promoting the “Yes for life!” campaign.
