“Elefănțelul Curios” is the first kindergarten in Sibiu that will have an outdoor classroom. The local councilors gave a favorable vote to a draft decision that provides for the arrangement of the court in this sense. Ionuț Ghişe (USR) showed that the initiative is “an example of good practices” that will only have benefits.
The Courtyard of the Kindergarten with Extended Program “The Curious Elephant” in the municipality of Sibiu will be transformed into a dynamic space for learning, relaxation and play. An outdoor classroom (no: in the open air) will be set up here, which will include an area for cultural-artistic activities, an area for reading and relaxation, an area for sensory-motor development and an area for learning and exploration. Thus, gym equipment (a route consisting of 8 pieces of equipment), musical equipment, tables with chairs, and an outdoor amphitheater will be purchased and later placed in the yard.

The project, worth 800,710 lei, was adopted by the local councilors on Wednesday. Ionuț Ghise from the USR group showed that the initiative is extremely important and is an example of good practices.

The technical-economic indicators approval project for setting up an outdoor classroom space in the courtyard of the Elefănțelul Curios kindergarten takes an important step towards becoming a reality today. This project started from an important need related to the quality of the educational act in the medium and long term, namely the need to carry out the learning activity as much as possible in the open air, in the context of the existence of a generous yard that allows the appropriate arrangement of a class in open air, as well as an amphitheater. When the project will be completed, the Elefănțelul Curios kindergarten and the municipality of Sibiu will become examples of good practices in the field”, said Ionuț Ghise, USR adviser.
