In Prahova, in 2023, out of almost 850 existing bridges, walkways and bridges at the county level, only 49 (approximately 6%) were authorized by the specialists from Romanian Waters. A reader of Observatorulph.ro complains that the works on the bridge from Drajna de Jos were stopped almost a year ago. According to the representatives of the Drajna City Hall, the builder who “could no longer fulfill his contractual clauses” would be to blame.

A reader of Observatorulph.ro complained, on Wednesday, about the started and unfinished works on the bridges in Prahova, giving as an example the bridge from Drajna de Jos.

“There are bridges started and unfinished in many locations! And one of the bridges would be this one from Prahova, from Drajna de Jos. It’s been in this stage for about a year,” a reader of Observatorulph.ro pointed out to us on Wednesday, who sent us several images from the scene.

Observatorulph.ro requested a point of view from Drajna City Hall. In the case of the Viroaga Bridge from Drajna de Jos, the works were stopped, say the representatives of the institution, after the builder “could not fulfill his contractual clauses”.

“During the execution of the works, the company that has to build these structural elements could no longer fulfill its contractual clauses. We will announce the end of the tender procedure for the appointment of a new builder in order to continue and complete the works”, specified eq. Violeta Gonțea, the mayor of Drajna commune.

Last year, the Prahova County Council scheduled works on the bridge over the Chiojdeanca stream located on DJ 102C (km 21+760), but also on the bridge over the Cricovul Sărat river located on DJ 102C (km 24+426), both structures being on radius of Apostolache commune.
