A 43-year-old man, who robbed, using violence, a 54-year-old man on the street in Deva, was caught after a little more than two weeks by the Hunedoren police.

“On March 9, 2024, around 10:40 p.m., a 54-year-old man from the municipality of Deva, while he was at the intersection of Ion Creangă Street and Neptun Avenue, was physically assaulted by an unknown person, hitting him in the the leg area, falling to the ground, after which they stole a black leather handbag containing the keys to the apartment, the keys to a company car, a mobile phone, the identity document, the driver’s license and the sum of 25 lei.

On March 26, 2024, following the investigations and research carried out by the policemen of the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Deva Municipality Police, they identified the alleged author of the act, in the person of a 43-year-old man, from Brănișca commune, against whom the measure was taken preventive detention for a period of 24 hours, proposals will be made to the competent prosecutor’s office to take the necessary legal measures”, IPJ Hunedoara sent.

In the case, the police have drawn up a criminal investigation file under the aspect of committing the crime of “qualified robbery”.
