A man was detained by the police after stealing a bicycle and several tools from the garage of a house in Sibiu

A 47-year-old man from Sibiu was detained on Tuesday by the policemen of the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Sibiu Municipality Police, he being criminally investigated under the aspect of committing the crime of qualified theft.

The man from Sibiu is suspected of having stolen a bicycle from the front of a building and several tools from the garage of a house, in the municipality of Sibiu, between March 4 and 15, the damage caused exceeding 10,000 lei, the IPJ Sibiu representatives announced on Wednesday in a press release of press.

Based on the evidence provided, the police took the measure of detaining the man in question for 24 hours, to be presented to the competent prosecutor’s office in order to apply a preventive measure.

The investigations are continued at the level of the Sibiu Municipality Police, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Sibiu Court.
