PHOTO. 24 searches in a file with accusations of an organized criminal group: 16 people were detained

An extensive operation by the investigators from IPJ Neamț and DIICOT ended with the detention of 16 people in a criminal case with accusations of forming an organized criminal group and illegally carrying out operations with products likely to have psychoactive effects. It happened on March 24 when 24 searches took place in the counties of Neamț, Bacău and Vrancea. Following this operation, 40 people arrived at hearings. From the research it was determined that, during July 2023, four of the investigated would have constituted a criminal group organized for the purpose of commercializing substances likely to have psychoactive effects, its leader having the role of coordinating, procuring, preparing, storing, but also sells such substances.

“Between July 2023 and March 2024, they stored, handled and sold different quantities of new psychoactive substances (AB-CHMINACA, synthetic cannabinoid) to consumers in Neamț County, with amounts between 50 and 100 lei for a dose. With regard to the other investigated in the case, it was noted that, between January and March 2024, on the basis of the same criminal resolution, they procured, stored and sold psychoactive substances (ADB-BUTINACA, MDMB-BUTINACA, 5F-MDMB PINACA, AB-CHMINACA and MDMB-INACA) to consumers from the same county“, according to IPJ Neamț.

41 white and blue tablets, 150 grams of solid substance, in the form of crystals, 300 grams of green-olive vegetable substance, 7 grams of active substance, used in the preparation of substances with psychoactive effects, 8 grinders and a precision scale, as well as 23 mobile phones, SIM cards and memory cards, 3 weapons subject to authorization, 2 rounds of non-lethal ammunition, an audio-video surveillance system, 5,000 lei, 3,025 euro and 50 pounds. 16 people, aged between 18 and 50, were ordered to be detained for 24 hours. They came before the judge of rights and liberties of the Neamț Court with a proposal for preventive arrest.

It is the second case of this kind after on March 15, three other Germans, aged 36, 34 and 41, were pre-arrested in a criminal case with accusations of bringing into the country, without the right, dangerous drugs and high risk, high risk drug trafficking, in continuous form and high risk drug trafficking. The facts took place between November 2023 and February 2024, during which they would have possessed and sold different amounts of cannabis to consumers in Neamț county. The price of a dose was between 50 and 130 lei. One of the accused allegedly introduced into the country, from Germany, through a courier company, approximately 900 grams of amphetamine and 200 grams of cannabis, being caught red-handed.
