The customs inspectors from the Constanța South Border Customs Office seized goods worth a total of approximately 4 million lei, discovered following the physical control carried out on the goods in three containers arrived from China, belonging to commercial companies based in Romania and Ukraine, inform The Romanian Customs Authority, through a press release.

According to the quoted source, the customs inspectors detained over 13 tons of candies, 5 tons of cardboard glasses and 3,000 bed linens likely to be counterfeit.

Thus, the total value of the goods, if they were sold on the market at the retail price of an original product, is approximately 4 million lei.

In accordance with the national and European regulations regarding some measures to ensure the respect of intellectual property rights during customs clearance operations, the customs authority retained the goods susceptible to being counterfeited in order to send them for expertise, upon completion of the cases, legal measures will be ordered IMPOSEit is mentioned in the press release.
