An Audi car, traveling on DN5, hit a protective metal parapet on the side of the road. Following the impact, a woman required medical attention.
The accident took place on Saturday afternoon, on the direction of the Capital, in the town of Crucea de Piatră, in Giurgiu county, involving only one car.
Firefighters from the Călugăreni Work Station and the Giurgiu Detachment went to the scene, with an extrication, a fire truck, three trucks of the Giurgiu County Ambulance Service (SAJ) and police crews.
The woman, approximately 48 years old, who was a passenger in the car, was pulled out by firefighters from inside. She was picked up by a SAJ crew and transported to the hospital.
Firefighters ensured fire prevention measures by disconnecting the terminals from the car’s battery.
The police are investigating this case to find out exactly how the road accident happened.
