A 25-year-old woman was detained on Friday, after causing a scandal and assaulting two policemen in Bucharest. She is accused of insult, a crime for which she was also convicted.

• Judicial sources stated, for News.ro, that the young woman caused a scandal in the premises of the KFC on Mihail Sebastian street, where she worked.
• The manager of the fast-food restaurant told the police that the young woman assaulted him, hitting him with a tray full of goods, but also with a container intended for collecting money.

“On 22.03.2024, the prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest District Court 5 ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings against a 25-year-old defendant for committing two crimes of outrage (…) in the state of post-conviction recidivism”, announced, on Friday, the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of District 5 Bucharest, according to News.ro.

The prosecutors specify that, on Thursday evening, the police intervened to settle a conflict that was taking place at a building on Mihail Sebastian Street in Bucharest.

“On the spot, the person who caused the scandal was identified, namely the defendant BIF, who slapped a police worker in the right shoulder area. After driving to the headquarters of the police station, during the body control, the defendant hit another police officer, female, with her foot, in the area of ​​the right wrist and left knee”, the Prosecutor’s Office also reported.

The prosecutors specified that the defendant was also sentenced to prison with the suspension of the execution of the sentence under supervision, also for committing a crime of insult.

“In the case, the prosecutor ordered the measure of detention for a duration of 24 hours, after which the defendant will be presented to the judge of rights and freedoms within the District Court of Bucharest 5 with a proposal for preventive arrest”, the cited source added.
