TIMISOARA Firefighters and policemen from Timisoara mobilized after a passer-by called the emergency number 112 to announce that a person had fallen into the Bega river in the area of the bridge from the Station, Thursday evening

“Detachments 1 and 2 of the Timisoara Fire Department were alerted and they intervened on the spot with two special vehicles equipped with two boats, a crew with 2 divers, an SMURD crew, as well as a lighting balloon. For this search-and-rescue mission, five other boats and lighting balloons from the other intervention subunits of ISU Timis are deployed on Bega”, transmitted ISU Timis.
The investigators say that a shopping bag with wheels and two dogs barking excitedly towards the water were found on the water’s edge.
UPDATE: After a few hours, the search was stopped, to be resumed on Friday morning.
UPDATE: Searches have resumed on Bega. It seems that a woman threw herself into the river in the area of the bridge from Gara, in Timisoara. Video
