The video, published by Ukraine’s 58th Motorized Brigade on social media, shows the burned and destroyed tanks.
“It appears that in recent weeks, Putin’s generals have made a large-scale sacrifice to their infernal gods, sending new forces and equipment to their death and destruction. The result, dozens of Russian tanks and armored vehicles burned,” is the description accompanying the images.
In turn, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense shared the video on https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1786028619124654510?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1786028619124654510%7Ctwgr%5E8aae561e0e5823ff54651e507304ec907c91b87b%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessinsider.com%2Fukraine-armed-forces-claim-destroyed-42-russian-tanks-vehicles-2024-5, formerly Twitter, with the message: “A road to hell. Dozens of Russian tanks and combat vehicles were destroyed on a small section of the front in the Donetsk region.”
Fighting has intensified in the Donetsk region in recent months as Russia tries to gain ground around the already captured city of Avdiivka.
Russian forces are currently targeting the strategically important town of Chasiv Yar. Ukrainian officials believe that Russia plans to seize Donetsk and Luhansk regions in 2024.
