Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was promised that Russia would win very important victories on the Ukrainian front this summer.
Such a promise would have been made by the Minister of Defense, Serghei Shoigu, against the background of the arrest of his deputy Timur Ivanov, as the pro-Russian publication “Kremlin Snuff Box” writes on Telegram.
The preparation of an offensive by the Russian Armed Forces is not a big secret. Putin’s troops will try to push the front in the direction of Sumi and Kharkiv.
According to the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian army is also preparing for such actions, and the success of the invaders will depend on the amount of resources they allocate.
Sources close to the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense say that it is necessary to carry out the mobilization, recruiting at least two hundred thousand more people, and the sooner this is done, the better for the invaders.
The reason for this haste is obvious.
“The better the positions are prepared, the more forces and means are needed to occupy them”explains a senior Russian military officer.
The officer admits off-road: the assault tactic in small groups ensures the advance of the Russian Armed Forces, but it leads to serious losses.
At the same time, the General Staff is not convinced that Shoigu’s optimistic promises are realistic.
“I don’t know what I promised the president, maybe he will take Kharkiv or another city. This is not only difficult, but impossible,” wrote a close associate of General Valeri Gerasimov.
