CSM Bucharest, hallucinatory official reaction, after elimination from the Champions League!

Four days away after the elimination from the Champions League with Metz and after multiple sources suggested that Adi Vasile will be fired from the technical bench, CSM Bucharest reacted officially through a statement.

Everyone expected a strong reaction from the club, which in the 2023-2024 season dreamed of reaching the Final Four of the Champions League after an absence of 6 years.

On Saturday, May 4, CSM Bucharest also lost the second leg with Metz from the Champions League, thus missing the chance to return to the Final Four of the most important interclub competition, after an absence of 6 years!

On April 28, the “Tigers” lost in the Sala Polivalentă in Bucharest with a difference of three goals, score 24-27, so they were still hoping for a comeback in France. However, the game did not look different, and the handball players from Metz dominated again, managing to impose themselves for the second time in just a few days against CSM Bucharest, score 29 to 23.

Yet before the second leg at Arenes de Metz, there were rumors that it could be the last match for coach Adi Vasile spent on the technical bench of the CSM. Later, after the outcome of the Champions League quarters, things seemed to be clear. It was circulated that Adi Vasile will be kicked outand the batch would also be significantly strengthened.

Considering the given situation, Bucharest fans were eagerly waiting for a clarification of the situation from the club. However, the heads of the “Tigers” came with an unexpected statement, in which they are proud of the results recorded internally and in which they do not provide any details regarding the future:

“CSM Bucharest is the best team in Romania, under similar budget conditions, with a plus only in attracting sponsorships.

The situation of the women’s handball team was presented to the Board of Directors! Through everything we have undertaken in recent years, through everything we will undertake in the future, we will try to exceed the current threshold of Champions League results. The team is preparing for the last matches of the season, which will bring a new title for our club!”, says the message sent by CSM Bucharest.

CSM, almost to realize the event

As the heads of the “Tigers” suggest, internally things are going great for CSM Bucharest, but considering the consistent salaries that the players receive, the goals seemed to be different. CSM invested to qualify for the Final Four of the Champions League, but the target was missed and the “tigresses” will not be in this phase of the competition for the 6th year in a row.

So, CSM Bucharest will keep the Romanian Cup trophy, which they won on April 21, after defeating Dunărea Brăila in the final, score 32-27.
