After counting all the votes, the cumulative result at the national level in elections for provincial councils (political vote) are the following:

CHP 37.76%

AKP 35.48%

New Welfare Party (YRP, radical Islamist, allied to AKP) 6.19%

Equality and Democracy Party (DEM, pro-Kurdish, opposition) 5.7%

Nationalist Movement Party 4.99% (extreme right, allied with AKP)

Good Party (IYI, nationalist, opposition) 3.77%

CHP ranked first in 21 de provincesAKP in 12, MHP in 8, DEM in 7, IYI, YRP and BBP (Islamist extremist) 1 each, totaling 51 provinces.

to Istanbul CHP Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu was re-elected with 51.14% ahead of AKP candidate Murat Kurum, former Minister of Environment and Urbanization, with 39.59%.

to Ankara CHP mayor Mansur Yavas was re-elected with 60.38%, followed by AKP candidate Turgut Altinok with 31.69%.

CHP candidates were also in the lead in the big cities of Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Adana. In total CHP ranked first in 14 metropolitan areascompared to 12 AKP, 3 DEM and 1 YRP.

AKP ranked first at districts won, 356, compared to 337 for CHP, 122 for MHP, 65 DEM, 39 YRP and 24 IYI.

48.2 million voters participated in the vote, o participation rate of 78.55. Voting is compulsory in Turkey, but absenteeism is virtually unsanctioned.
