Road accident at the intersection of DJ229 with DN22F, near Izvoarele
Today, around 12:30, the Tulceni police were alerted to the fact that, at the exit from Izvoarele to Horia, a road accident occurred. The police arrived at the scene and found that a man, while driving a car on DJ229, at the intersection with DN22F, did not give way to another car that was traveling legally, colliding with it. As a result of the road accident, the driver in question was injured as well as the passenger who were transported to the Tulcea County Hospital.
The day before, another road accident occurred on DJ 229. The author of the accident, a 30-year-old man, allegedly drove a car from Frecăței towards Tulcea, and due to the consumption of alcohol, he drove into a tree on the side of the road . Following breathalyzer testing, the driver was found to have 1.34 mg/l of pure alcohol in his breath. It was also found that he did not hold a driving license for any category of vehicle. Police found him in a nearby field.
