In the local labor market, no major processes of collective layoffs are observed yet, and the companies active here continue to suffer due to the labor shortage, says Cristian Vasilcoiu, state secretary in the Ministry of Labor.

“At the moment we are still in a workforce deficit, we have an increase in the number of employment contracts, we continue to bring in foreign workers. I understood that there would be concerns from one area of ​​the market that there is a risk that we will face layoffs. I spoke just last week with all the directors of AJOFMs in the country, we are not yet in that area, but I asked them to be very careful, to monitor the situation punctually, because, I repeat, despite some concerns that exist in market, at the moment we don’t see anything like that.
