The action took place on the main traffic arteries of Constanța county, especially in the resorts on the Black Sea coast, and was coordinated by police officers from the Road Directorate of the Romanian Police.
Traffic police officers from the Ilfov, Călărași, Brăila, Galați county police inspectorates and from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest took part in the activities.
Thus, approximately 3,400 drivers were tested with the breathalyzer device and 193 with the device provided, in order to establish indications regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances.
Also, 42 driver’s licenses were detained for suspension, 31 registration certificates and four sets of plates with registration numbers were withdrawn.
At the same time, 15 road traffic offenses were detected.
Possible drug addicts, on Mamaia Boulevard
On May 2, around 11:50 p.m., police officers from the Road Safety Service identified a 42-year-old man who was driving a car on Mamaia Boulevard, in the Mamaia resort. After testing with the device provided, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances.
A day later, on the same boulevard, police officers from the Road Safety Service identified a 30-year-old woman who was driving a car on Mamaia boulevard, in the Mamaia resort.

These do not represent evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to a medical facility, for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances.
The 4th of May was not quieter either. At around 01:30, police officers from the Road Safety Service identified a 50-year-old man who was driving a car on Portului street in the municipality of Mangalia, having suspended the exercise of the right to drive vehicles on public roads for the current period .
Moreover, the man was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 0.28 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
In all cases, a criminal investigation file was drawn up.
