SARAJEVO. Romania dominated the team event of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Open, from the Europe Youth Series, and won the first two trophies of the table tennis competition!
The mixed U15 team, formed by Andreea Băiașu, Alexandra Dicu, Robert Istrate, Mihai Nagy and coached by Bogdan Albescu had a perfect course from the groups to the final won in a decisive manner against Croatia, score 5-0. The U13 mixed team of Romania, coached by Andreea Zanfir and Istvan Gyorgy, with the athletes Maya Madar (CSM Arad), Kariss Șerban, Alexandru Pop and David Toro, also took the first place on the podium. The “Tricolors” played precisely, won all six matches and defeated the mixed team of three countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia, 5-1 in the final!
The athlete from CSM Arad (12 years old) is having an excellent year: she is a triple national champion and a gold medalist at the Romanian Cup, under 13 years old, an age category she dominates domestically with authority.
