24-year-old Susan Gail Carter and her 10-year-old daughter Natasha “Alex” Carter mysteriously disappeared from West Virginia, leaving an entire community baffled. The main suspect was Larry Webb, the man who had hosted them in the house, but the evidence against him was insufficient at the time, according to CNN.

Last year, Webb was charged with murder, but the trial was delayed due to his poor health. In early April, during an interrogation, Webb made a shocking confession.
