A 61-year-old man caused a road accident on National Road 1 at Porumbacu de Jos, after violating the continuous longitudinal marking to turn left. After checks, the police found that the man did not have a driver’s license.

“On April 24 this year, around 12:30, while driving a tractor on DN 1, in Porumbacu de Jos, a 61-year-old local man turned left irregularly, violating the continuous longitudinal marking, at which time he was hit by the car driving behind him, whose driver, a 51-year-old Sibiian, did not keep the safety distance and suddenly turned to the left. The collision only resulted in material damage.” said Elena Walter, spokeswoman for the Sibiu Police.

Following the checks carried out by the police, it was found that the man behind the wheel of the tractor does not have a driver’s license for any category of vehicle.

In the case, a criminal investigation file was opened regarding the commission of the crime of driving without a license.

On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the police from Sibiu stopped a car for inspection on Nicolae Iorga Street in the city. Following the checks, the traffic agents found that the 47-year-old man does not have a driver’s license.

“On April 24 this year, around 02:00, in the city of Sibiu, the police officers of the Sibiu Urban Police Department stopped for control a car driven by a 47-year-old Sibiu man on Nicolae Iorga street.

The checks carried out by the police showed that the person behind the wheel does not have the right to drive vehicles on public roads.” added Elena Walter, Sibiu Police spokesperson.

In the case, a criminal investigation file was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of driving without a license.
