A street in Slănic collapsed. The surge would continue and threaten at these moments to reach the nearby blocks as well. Several images of the damaged road are circulating on social media. It would be about 23 August street in the Slănic mountain resort.

After what happened, the street was completely closed to traffic, and the local authorities notified the Prahova Prefecture and the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

According to the mayor of Slănic, Costea Daneluș, there are residential blocks 40-60 meters away and the main concern of the authorities now is that they might not be affected.

“We can’t figure out the affected surface, we don’t know what’s underneath. From what we can see, it was about a cave. Traffic was stopped on 23 August street, we are waiting for the intervention of the competent authorities. The surprise continues, it expands, new cracks appear”, he told telegrama.ro.
