Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, Minister Atishi mentioned that Delhiites cannot be left to endure water scarcity during the sweltering heat. She attached a list of areas from which recurrent complaints of water shortages have been received, urging immediate attention to alleviate the situation.

New Delhi: As the scorching summer temperatures grip Delhi, the city’s Water Minister and DJB Chairperson Atishi has mandated the Chief Secretary to conduct an urgent reassessment of water supply across all parts of the capital on Thursday.

Minister Atishi has issued specific instructions to the Chief Secretary, which as follows:

i). A colony wise update on water availability in comparison to the summer demand.

ii). Plan of action for supplementing current water supply with borewells.

iii). Detailed plan for water tankers required for each of the areas experiencing shortages in water supply in the summers.

Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, Minister Atishi mentioned that Delhiites cannot be left to endure water scarcity during the sweltering heat. Notably, Kejriwal‘s first order from jail was to the water department itself. In this he mentioned that there are some areas in Delhi where people have to face scarcity of water and sewage problem. He instructed to tackle the situation of water crisis.
