The president of AUR, George Simion, writes on his own website about the mascot Ursula, candidate for the European Parliament. The parliamentarian points to the fact that it is supported by the PNL and the PSD, despite the fact that at the European level corruption has reached alarming levels. We reproduce, in full, the editorial published by George Simion, the president of AUR:

“I presented today (ed. yesterday, April 2, 2024) in the press conference at the Parliament the new AUR mascot for the European parliamentary elections on June 9.

Ursula von der Leyen is, as I said today to the journalists present at the press conference I held in the Romanian Parliament, the new GOLD mascot for the European parliamentary elections.

You know Ursula from the cartoons, Mrs. Ursula. We will use her as a mascot. Unfortunately, PSD and PNL support her as head of the European Commission and support this octopus and corruption at the European level. This is the degree of submission, this is the level we have reached in the country.

Unfortunately, the country is worshiped by others. We are receiving signals, since theoretically a special Schengen was invented for us, in which we no longer go through the control with the bulletin or passport, that, in fact, in France, Finland, Italy, Romanian citizens have been asked for identity documents.

This surrogate is not acceptable, the Romanian authorities should not have accepted such a thing.

We will fight Ursula, Iohannis and your subjects from the colony called Romania.

I would propose that all the parties in the 27 EU states sign a pact by which they commit that they will not vote for Ursula von der Leyen as the future head of the European Commission.

The constitutional coup by the current coalition is in full swing. Today, the merger ordinance had to be put on the agenda of the Senate. After it was postponed for two weeks to have time to think, even today the merger ordinance was not put on the agenda of the Senate and on April 6 it passes silently. Obviously this ordinance is unconstitutional and the current coalition avoids the test of its constitutionality. But what the People’s Advocate did, what the Constitutional Court, which was referred to us through an extraordinary way, is doing is not admissible.

We will resort to any means, no matter how extreme, but democratic, to stop this coup d’état and this attack on the Constitution and the rule of law in Romania.

On June 9, constitutional, legal, there are only European parliamentary elections, and for fear of AUR, the current coalition and the Klaus Iohannis regime called for this coup d’état.

Despite what some and others want, the AUR will have candidates for all the councils, the presidencies of the CJ and the mayor’s offices of the county seat municipalities.

Let’s not expect each other to get rid of us, even if the elections were supposed to take place in September.

For four months, what will the subjects of Mr. Iohannis do? Will they have an elected and a current mayor? It is not normal! explained George Simion, president of AUR.
