Lidia Vadim Tudor is the AUR candidate for the City Hall of Sector 5, currently led by Cristian Popescu Piedone, who has announced his entry into the race for the Capital City Hall. The announcement of the candidacy of the daughter of the former PRM president, Corneliu Vadim Tudor, was made on Tuesday in a press conference.
According to the official presentation, Lidia Vadim Tudor has been the editor-in-chief of România Mare Magazine since 2005, she graduated in Journalism at Spiru Haret University, but also at the Faculty of Psychology within the same university.
Adrian Vigheciu, from PSD-PNL, Adrian Vigheciu, Alexandru Dimitriu – USR (Alianța Deapta Unită) and Vlad Popescu (PPUSL) are running for District 5 City Hall.
Poet, writer, journalist, Corneliu Vadim Tudor is described in the Final Report of the Presidential Commission for the Analysis of the Communist Dictatorship as one of the minstrels of the Ceaușescu family, who ruled Romania before 1990. After the Revolution, he founded the Great Romania Party and the magazine of the same name. He ran several times in the presidential elections, in 2000 he entered the second round, but lost to Ion Iliescu. Corneliu Vadim Tudor died in 2015.
