A military drone would have crashed on a field just 12 km away from Brăila, accompanied by a loud bang. The police and gendarmerie cordoned off the area.

Update 08:30 According to Antena 3 CNN sources, the downed drone is of Russian origin and would have been sent to the Ukrainian ports on the Danube. Most likely, the GPS guidance system has failed.

The drone fell in the Insula Mari area of ​​Brăila, 12 kilometers away from the ferry crossing.

Soon the area was surrounded by police and investigators who cordoned off the entire perimeter.
