On Sunday, April 28, 2024, a new park was inaugurated in Bucharest. It is about Liniei Park, which is located in Sector 6 of the Capital. The new relaxation space for Bucharest residents is a real green oasis, but it has modern facilities.

Residents of Sector 6 of the Capital have reason to be happy. The longest linear park in Europe was inaugurated in this area of ​​the city. The new green oasis is part of an extensive project started a year ago.

A new park was opened in Bucharest. It is unique in Europe

On Sunday morning, thousands of Bucharest residents came to the inauguration of the new park in Sector 6 of the capital. It is about the second phase of Parcul Liniei, i.e. the section between Cotroceni Station and Doina Cornea Boulevard.

The new portion within Liniei Park has a length of 580 meters and an area of ​​3.5 hectares. Of this surface, one hectare is occupied by an urban forest. Thus, at this moment, Liniei Park stretches over a distance of 8 hectares, being the largest green space created in the Capital after the Revolution.

Ultra-modern facilities for the new relaxation area in Sector 6

According to the information provided by the District 6 City Hall, this new portion of the park is equipped with playgrounds, fitness areas, pump tracks, bike paths, hammocks and gazebos. At the same time, the green space is equipped with an automated irrigation system. In addition, Bucharest residents will also have 5 smart gazebos, equipped with sockets and WiFi.

“What used to be a garbage dump has become a beautiful park in the Military District. Liniei Park has reached eight hectares, making it the largest park in Bucharest opened after the Revolution. A green space with a lot of relaxation facilities, we have a 1.5 km bike path, which connects Lujerului and Doinea Cornea Blvd., we have playgrounds for children, outdoor sports equipment, tables, people can to come and have a picnic right here.

We have table tennis, teqball tables, many facilities, this park in Bucharest can become a reference park from now on. We have gazebos where people can come and work outdoors, they have Wi-Fi, they have electricity, they have shade.
